    Hi Michael,
I have been trying to figure out how to start a new thread, but all I seem to be allowed is to comment on anothers post? Am I missing some grey matter?

Hi Al - don't know about grey matter, but to create a NEW post log in to Blogger (not this blog)with web_tools as username and password.

    Hi Michael,
I guess, 'better late, than never'....
During the period of the actual duration of the course, I lurked around this blog a few times. I even tried to create a post by 'phone, on three separate occasions, partially to just give it a go, but mostly to test the 'water' to see if I could do it within my workplace. Of course, just like other 'useful' things, (in that case the actual 'phone number required) was blocked by our system...
Anyway, while this is now retrospective, I find blogging to be an excellent way of recording my thoughts in en electronic way and being able to access and build on them, in a 'portable' or in theory accessible from anyway, manner. Of course, as before, as it use useful, most blogs are of course blocked by our system.
A useful and I think unblocked/ about to be unblocked blog is edublogs.org (at that address).

Nice to see you finally got 'here' Sean. Edublogs is an excellent choice - I would use it myself if it weren't for the fact that Blogger has all these companion arrangements with other tools like Flickr and YouTube (also largely blocked by schools and colleges.) It is a real challenge to work out to make these kinds of services available to students inside educational networks.
